I treated seven Canary Island date palms at an Escondido property over two visits in August: three palms on August 22, followed by four on August 24.
This is a look back at that completed job. The two visits belong together in the history of the property, with each group tied to the day it received treatment.
Seven palms in one landscape
A property with several Canary Island date palms needs a conversation about the whole group. For this job, the service account covers all seven palms across the two visits.
I want the owner to be able to ask about a particular palm and know which work we are discussing. Keeping the dates and groups clear gives that conversation a useful starting point, whether we are reviewing the August work or considering another visit.
Looking beyond the treatment day
The completed work is what I can report here. I am not attaching a claim about the palms' later condition to those August treatment dates. A later observation needs its own date and evidence.
That is how I want to keep these field stories useful: describe the work that happened, preserve the history, and keep paying attention to the palms over time.
If you have several Canary Island date palms, tell me about the group when you request an assessment. For continuing care, see SDPP's annual palm protection program.
